Hey there! I’m Jarred Smith, a web developer, builder, and lifelong problem-solver. I’m originally from southern Illinois, where there’s more corn than people, and where I first learned what hard work really means. These days I live in North Hills, California, trading in the farm fields for palm trees (and way less humidity).
I grew up racing motocross and working construction for my dad, which taught me two things: how to build things that last, and how to get back up when you wipe out. That hands-on background gave me the same drive I use now in engineering. I love to build, break, and fix things until they’re just right.
I’m passionate about coding, robotics, and 3D printing, because they all let me turn ideas into something real. I love being challenged, digging deep into a problem, and figuring out the smartest (and sometimes weirdest) way to make it work. And I’ll be honest — I might not be the best designer, but whatever I build will run amazing… it just might not look the best doing it 😅.
When I’m not coding, you’ll usually find me hanging out with my niece, playing video games, or experimenting with random side projects that probably involve a soldering iron. Coding might be easier on the body than construction, but it’s every bit as challenging, and that’s exactly why I love it.
